Will this body be imported by The Hobby Company?
It should be made BRCA legal (to add a bit of variety) and if The Hobby Company don't import it, who'll submit it to the BRCA? Also, I don't want to be buying stuff from America, just to have the bodyshell I want!
At least I have found that one popular US shop for Tamiya bits (i'm sure you know who) will be getting the bodyshell in a matter of days!
Apparently Surikarn used it at the US Reedy Race, and he won, so it can't be bad...

Does it have to be the importer/agent/distributor that submits a body (or anything else for that matter) to the BRCA for approval?
What is the rule regarding commercial availability?

Last week I phoned the Hobby Company and asked about the availability of the Subaru body. Got to work this morning to find an email response from the helpful lady that I spoke to:
I HAVE LOOKED ON ALL UPDATE AND INFO SHEETS FOR FUTURE RELEASES AND ITEMS EXPECTED VERY SOON AND I CANNOT SEE THIS ITEM LISTED ANYWHERE. THIS MEANS THAT THIS ITEM IS NOT AVAILABLE IN THE UK. NOT FOR NOW ANYWAY
Her caps btw.
I can't help thinking that competion racing is not high on the agenda for this organisation. Console yourselves that it would probably retail at 2 to 3 times the cost of other makers bodyshells.

Not wanting to put a dampener on things, but I think you really have to look abroad to get TRF parts. I've found one UK shop that can help (Cheshire Models - the Eurocup shop I think).

Is that the Calsonic one? If so, I've seen it and it looks very nice indeed!

Does anyone have a spare Tamiya shell they'd sell me? I'm new so can't yet post a wanted thread in the appropriate section. I'm after an Impreza, Focus, 206 shell etc (currently have a Porsche, don't like it)
