Hi

When should you replace the belts on a SST Mission ?
I run stock class, indoors, and have done about x40, 5 minute races
so far (I use standard rear belt but ultraflex/grey front belt,
and they don`t look partcularly worn but Im thinking that maybe I better replace them anyway......just to be safe.

Thanks

mine have lasted approx 5 months, running 7 times per week every week. ive just been using the black rear belt and main grey belt.

mine have lasted ages, i run 4 runs per week stock, and 3 per week mod, and theyve lasted fine. if they dont look worn, why bother?

if you drive smooth they will last longer.

cool. so since I only race once a week, my belts should last the lifetime of my car
or at least until I change my car, which will probably be in about 18 months time.

Thats what I call great value ;D

yeah they will last a while, just make sure you don't get a stone stuck under a belt, like i did the other week, it made a good mess of the rear belt! ;D

My Mission belts wore pretty quickly, but also had the habit of just spitting rear belts out the back. I ran indoors, on carpet and I used the grey belt on the front and black on the rear.

I went through about 4 rear belts in around 8-10 months, running once a week.

The main grey belt was very worn by that time also.

Awesome car, though!

my sst 99 chewed belts like they were going out of fasion.. i never figgure it out... i would always change ther rear diff pully when the belt went, mine seemed to loose the nylon stiffening threads in it! id kill one every 10 runs or so!!
