Well after a number of (read many!) delays, the new touring car from Corally, the ASSASSIN Master version, is now due for release this week.
We understand that the first shipments are due to leave the factory this week, arrival of their new shocks components has been the reason.

I watched Andy griffs at the TORC at Ashby-i must say i was very impressed -it absolutly glided througfh the chicane-just before the start of straight-i think he also got FTD/pole for A-mod,before i saw this with my own eyes i thought it was just another car comming out-but after seeing Andy's Its more than just another car,it handled like it was on carpet.
Most exellent!!

I watched both the Mod A-finals just to see Andy driving this new car and i have to say once the tyres warmed up after the first lap the car look simply great all around the track. Shame Andy hooked the grass on the first banked corner o couple of times and rolled it ( controled it on two wheels a few times too ;D ) costing him a few places in the final result but apart from that a great showing from such a new car.

We understand that the first batches of ASSASSIN's going out to the distributors is being limited to get them out to as many distributors as possible in the first instance.
We already have quite a number of orders for them already but there are currently some of the first batch still available (well as this is being typed that is). So if you want to get yourself an ASSASSIN TC then get your order in now!

The ASSASSIN (and every spare part) is now in stock.
Only a few remain available from this first batch.

Kit pictures now on the Corally UK web site...........
So tell me Mike, out of curiosity.
What is the mid motor option all about?
And which version of drivetrain do the team drivers(especially Griff - to be doing so well at the Nats) use?

The mid motor conversion moves the motor to infront of the layshaft when using the 2 belt version, this has been used in most places so far
I am still running with 1 belt / direct drive, as I have been running stock.
Its been a little harder to set up but is very quick / efficient.

I too bit the proverbial bullet and bought one of these beauties 8)have got the handleing sweet as a nut but am haveing to use the twin belt system (running stock at MK) to get any sensible ratios.
I usually run either fantom silver or matrix V10R but have not been able to get anything like the ratios I wanted to use. I'm just hoping that Corrally sell a larger spur gear... What sort of ratio's are you running with what motor at what track?

Ade
I am running at Derby (small and tight) and Chesterfield (big)
when using the 64dp spur I can get down to ~35mm/r with pit 20's
this is ok at Derby and I gear up 1 or 2 pinions at Chesterfield.
The Corally re-buildable stock will pull this ratio
you have to bear in mind how much more efficient the 1 belt set up is
Andy
I know the single belt is more efficient but after trying it for the first three meetings and trying lots of different ratios and speedo settings nothing got close to when I changed to the twin belt and the same sort of ratio I was running with my old car.
I was just wondering if anyone else was having the same problem.
Ade ;D
Does anyone know if Mike is attending the WLRC STCC??? As modeltech are the sponsors I'm guessing he will be....
Mike if you are coming to the STCC this weekend do you have any other Assassin Spur gears (single belt)? I have seen on a ratio chart from Australia that they seem to have a 102t spur.....
Also do you have any chassis weights yet? Got my last/best qualifying at disqualified because the car was 2g underweigh. I'm currently using stick on ones but would like the nice proper screw in ones ;D 8)
Thanks
Ade ;D

Weights will be in next week - approx 16th Sept on, as will the new springs.
I think that gearing was a mistake, Corally do not make them. We are looking at making up some special delrin ones in the near future.

Known of it for a while Tom and seen pics before, but not sure if it is going into production (I suspect it actually might as 4 cell tourers are catching on in the far East), will check when they get back from Japan trip/holiday - in 2 weeks time.
