anyone got any ideas as to why i keep having wheels fall of ...yes they are tight ;D could it be that the washers have lost their spring or is it to do with the wheels? Fast tyres foams.

Was told when I bought my T1 to regularly chage the washers to avoid this problem.

You could always use threadlock as an alternative to checking their tightness before every run...

I use fastrack motor mount screws (i.c. bits) with countersink washers, never had one come of yet. The screw takes a set against the washer and locks up tight. no problems...

do you use the pre-glued Take Off cs-27 tyres?

No, I dont like the inserts.. they dont fit right.

I use orion or yokomo inserts on 26mm Orion wheels

Go to a hardware store. Buy four M4 shake proof washers and 4 M4x8mm machine screws. You will never lose a wheel again. And it won't cost you a fortune like the X-ray wheel mount kit.

If trying new screws does not work then I would say it could be the axle itself which is the problem. If they are old then maybe the thread could be getting loose in which case I would try using some type of thread lock or if this fails try some new axles as a last resort.

just fitted new titanium axles on it so i think it must be the washers

If they are the TIR ones then you'll need new ones within 3 weeks... Waste of money those things, the pins that hold them together wear through the dogbone far too fast.

Hope I'm wrong, but that was my experience with some on the rear of the car.

i hope your wrong too :- i got them for the front because the standard ones wear so much and i assumed the titanium ones would be lighter than the spring steel versions (they came complete with drive shafts)

Where do your steel driveshafts wear? I've just sold my Evo2 after about a year and the original driveshafs were in perfect condition. As for the weight, I didn't do a comparison but I couldn't feel any difference.

They do look better though... ;D

it was the alu hubs that were wearing not the driveshafts probably due to too much lock (basic 27 meg tranny no epa) the driveshafts were just an added bonus that came with the kit. The complete titanium driveshaft and hub assembly is 1 gram heavier than the origional spring steel shaft and alu hub.
