I heard that using rear towers on front will give more options. Are there any issues when using rear towers on the front?

No :D though to get the best results you will need to use the later/optional front arms with two lower shock mounting positions.

also to get the car low enough you need to trim about 4mm of the top of the lower ball joint so the spring cup sits lower.
otherwise you get a fixed ride height of 6mm!

I think all the detail is given in this thread:

I tried searching, then my connection froze. haha...
anyways, I am now happy with the rear tower on the front. It gives a better ride.

I've been running rear shock tower on front for a while and have been happy with it. Now getting understeer at some venues, so am looking at mk2 wishbones and trying to get the front Ride height below 6mm
Using a spare shock that I had, cut 2mm off the top of the shock rod end (Pt No. 7217), but this doesn't shorten the shock at all it just means that there's 2mm less thread holding the rod end on, cos the thread on the shaft is going to the bottom of the hole in the rod end as it was before. I'd have to cut 2mm off the shaft for this to work.
Am I miss understanding what has to be done?
Edited - Ignore all above, worked out thatnot actually trying to shorten the shock, just allowing the spring cup to sit lower allows the ride height to be lower
