I kneed help/reasurance on motors.

First of all, am I right in saying that the more turns a motor has the faster it goes?

Does 25T mean 25 turn?

I have recently purchased a new Mabuchi 540 motor. That bit is okay. it's just on the packet it said 'mabuchi 25T motor.'

This has confused me somewhat and need to know what is right or wrong.

its actually the opposite, the lower the number the faster the motor will, and if you want to know a little more, you will also see for example 13x1 13x4, this in laymens terms means its a 13 turn and the 1 is a puncher motor with more torque or the 4 a much smoother motor that revs more, its actually alot more indepth than that, but thats the basics

hope that helps

MAbuchi 540 motors come is all sorts of winds - if it says 25T and it was in a box/packet, then it probably is. HTH :)

With the mabuchi motors, the really shiny ones, like you get in a mardave kit are 25T. I race mardave cars, and we use the mabuchi rs540sh, which has a slightly "duller" can, and are 22 turn, so they are slightly quicker. (They have x22 stamped on the can)

Also, the 22 turn motors are faster in reverse for some reason (I think its to do with their timing), so we connect the positive ESC wire to the negative tab, and run them backwards! :D
