I boughtmy menace yesterdat (saturday) and have been messing around with it all day for the past 2 days, its great. there is one problem though.. i crashed it a litlle while ago, not really going all that fast and snapped the hub off of the bottom wishbone. Any ideas where i can order a better quality one from for a decent price?
Also are there any free mods that could be done to it?
Still running it in so. not really full throttling it.

Your best bet will be just getting the alloy bits straight away.
What i done, was when i broke a plastic part i just brought the alloy replacement rather then the plastic part again. And done this until the Menace was fully hop-up'ed. This saves a large initial cost and will make sure you upgrade the weakest parts first.
I have done a review of these on my website (http://www.glypo.co.uk/) which you may, or equally may not, fins useful. As for a place to get them i'll PM you that as it's against forum rules for me to post that here .

went to the shop today, turned out i didnt look at it as well as i thought.. the yoke was broken (which i knew) but also the driveshaft is slightly bent, the guys at the shop and i both dont have an alan key small enough to fit in the grub screw to seperate the shaft from the uj. also, the parts are all back ordered everywhere i asked. looks like my menace will be sitting around on 3 wheels for quite a while :(

I fixed the parts and have been driving it around again. Nearly lost it again though..
Is there any way you can improve the handling on it?
are the tyres no good for on road use? i only really notice the power sliding happening on road..

The only tyres you should be using on-road are Venoms that schuie make, inserts will help too.
Also i was suprised reading on another forum that people have not been setting up camber/toe-in. 1.5 negative camber all around and 1 toe-in will help a lot.

so i basicly need the venom tyres for onroad use? and the ones you get with it are mainly for offroad use? i was told not to tuch the camber etc. that it was preset..
What happened to your forum?
Also do you know of any other uk based rc clubs?
Thanks for the help.

Yes the venoms are for on-road. The stock tyres are not designed to go anywhere near a road, in fact they work best on really wet mud and similar surfaces, hence i use mini-spikes for my off-road tyres.
The camber (etc) is set out of the box, but the second you crash the setting will be out.
My forum is currently working.
Can't think of any tracks around your way, maxbashing and 3a are not to far south of you. I will be racing at both of these most of the year.

i dont know how you set them up though.. i broke my bloody shock shaft yesterday!
might have to look into the road tyres.

A shock shaft, my god never broke one of them on any car before  :p
Obviously when you get the front alloy, the plastic wont break and the shock shafts won’t either.
I more then very strongly recommend you look into the venom tyres, they will help your handling a great deal. If you've had bad enough crash’s to break/bend a shock shaft then i would check all your turnbuckles too. If they are bent and you're going to replace get the titanium, if not leave them, as the steel is remarkably strong.
To set up the wheels you will need suitable gauges, i found RPM ones worked well, but i'm sure plenty of others will too.
Trust me when I say the alloy will make a world of difference, I went out with my car on Sunday, out of a Tmaxx, Savage and fully graphite XXX-NT mine was the only one in working order at the end of the day, and it had the hardest bashing!

basicly i wasnt going that fast but i ended up braking the lower arm and the shock shaft, im not bothered about the lower arm becase im picking the alloy one up on saturday anyway. when it crashed i think it just broke the wishbone and then the only other thing was the shock because it twisted slightly. everything else is fine though. i want to get it all alloy and the venoms but its kind of hard because this toy is becoming expensive and addictive lol. im also trying to save up for a new real car too..

I can easily say i know the feeling. I just have to keep doing more and more overtime at work!
I think the Menace is irrefutably worth the money when you get it all upgraded, just so much fun it's astonishing.
