hi all, I own two Schumacher nitro's-an XTR and a Menace.
These cars are without doubt very fast but seem to be very fragile.
I do not race,i'm more your sunday afternoon down at the local retail car park type and therefore get very fustrated that almost every outing ends up in a trip to the model shop on a Monday.
I have therefore decided that maybe a change of car is in order,an 8th scale perhaps?
My local dealer has suggested a buggy made by HOT Bodies which is powered by a 26 engine and is robust.
Has anyone owned/had experience with this make of car.
I also need to sell the menace if anyone is interested.

I look forword to your response

Thanks

Keith

Firstly when the Menace is alloyed it's as tough as nails, just as strong (well stronger) then 1/8th buggies in stock.

The XTR is bit of a waste of time when it comes to trying to strengthen it.

1/8th buggies are very, very tough, so could be wise. Although ironically the lightning (the hot bodies buggy) is a bit of a fragile racer rather then basher. Without a doubt the Hyper 7 is the strongest buggy of the lot, best for bashing.

You will find all buggies are more race orientated then bash orientated. If you still want to step away from the menace and xtr (your choice obviously, but i would alloy the menace and keep it if i were you) then a monster truck will be a lot wiser option.

Super tough, designed for bashing and having fun. The Savage 25 has a bit of go in stock form, or a MGT with a .26/.27/.28 fitted certainly flys too. I wouldn't think the lightning would be suited to you. So I think your best options are get rid of the xtr and alloy menace up, or get rid of both and get a monster truck. Or a mixture!

Why are you asking wbout what 1/8 buggy to buy in the Schumacher section?

I'd stick with the Menace, and get the alloy bits for it. Much cheaper than a £300+ buggy.
