D5 with 4 magnets... that'l be an epic then? ;D should be awesome. the rpic can uses a different spacing between the magnets and produvces a torquier, more effeicient motor... apparently.... ???

Yes it would be and Epic, well the D5 is an epic anyway, as it sais on the endbell.

Epic is part of Trinity.

The D6 looks like it is just the Binary 2 with the Trinity label.

There is a differant armature in the D6 to the epic

According to Epics website they also run flat wire same as the Trinity so how is it different?

From the pictures I have seen of the armatures it seems that the D6 arm has a bigger gap between the crowns of each stack, and i'd imagine that the web design is subtly different as well.

Nigh on impossible to tell without seeing them both stripped down with no windings on them....

The EPIC quad mag can also has the magnets in a different configuration to the Reedy can.

they are almost 100% likely to be the same motor. epic=trinity... both run by the same guy, as MattW said.

a marketing ploy so some people buy epic and some buy trinity.

i like my D5 in my 12th... but have heard from even the fastest of trinity drivers that in T/C it lacks horsepower.

what you all have to remember, is that trinity, fantom, epic etc etc etc are all BUISINESSES, if they have a product that is marketable they will most likely sell it to consumers.

must admit the label on the D6 is cool! ROFLOL.... ::)must stop looking at how pretty things are! lol ::)

one thing i was just thinking about was this... its ernie provetti that runs trinity and epic right? surely that costs more than having one SUPER company? i.e. marketing, copywriting, patenting... ???

Can we remember that when we talk about Horsepower in electric motors, the difference between a 'bad' and a 'good' motor is probably something like 1/50th of a Horsepower! or maybe less!

It's a funny point because people talk about them like the Reedy Kr has about 2 BHP more lol.

the whole thing with people running 2 companies is that it allows them to have the *same* product distributed by 2 oposing distributers in the same company, this *should* get them twice the profit. or at least twice the exposure.

and running to companies (using shared re-badged products) is no where near 2 times more expensive than 1 supercompany
