Is this a new 1/12 car? I do hope so!
I know that IRS do plenty of parts for some cars, are they making their own one now?

its a conversion for a 12l3...much like a yokomo.
its essentially a yok with a thicker chassis.
its been out a while now...

The lap time went up by more steer from the standard chassis according to the owner of this chassis.

That Rug Rat looks cool!
Where can you get them, how much are they?
And what is that bit going on on the ends of the damper tubes? Looks liks a pair of tiny springs?

Just checked the link - it seems that the Rat is a conversion kit for the RC12L3 i.e. you still need the front end, centre shock, axel blocks and diff/axel. Shame it is not a completely new car..... ???
Apart from the damper tubes rather than the plate, the springs on the tubes and the orientation of the cells can anyone notice any other significant changes?

Been in contact with CML and asked about the conversion kit for the Rat. They think the full kit will cost about £90 BUT WILL TAKE UP TO 3 WEEKS TO SHIP IT IN FROM THE STATES. Doh! And, don't forget that you will still need a complete front end, rear axel blocks, t'bar and diff bits....
Oh well,
James

If your running on carpet the car is great. I race in the U.S. and had a chance to dreve one of the first RugRats. Once you find a set-up the car is sweet.
