With the endbell uppermost, the right hand one is 0 degrees, the next one is 12 degrees. This is a good starting point.

So they do, if you line up the right hand mark on the endbell with the 12 degree mark on the can, turning the endbell anticlockwise to achieve this, you will find the second mark on the end bell should coincide with the 0 degree datum on the can.

Most modifieds with that style of endbell are, the reedy TI and KR are the same. 12 degrees is a good compromise between power output and current consumption and motor wear.

What conditions are you planning on running the motor in?? Having run this particular motor for about 2 years i would run at least 16 deg if you are running on a "National" style outdoor track. I usually use between 16 and 24 deg. If you are running on small indoor tracks i would run 12-16.

I am racing at sheffield don valley arena at the HPI junior nationals and at a fairly large indoor track in Hinkley in Warwickshire.
