View Full Version : Carbon Chassis
I seen that ING do a 4mm Carbon Chassis for the Serpent 705 and say they have no problems with overheating in their 36C climate.
Do anyone here have any views on this? as it does seem a good way to loose a large amount of weight.
(yes I'm overweight without a shell)

they were uses in 1/5th scale, but my opinion is it has to effect cooling as after a qualifying run the chassis is warm so where will that heat go?
i like the set up boards http://www.ingracing.com/ing/web/English/ingmade/e_universal_part.htm
nigel what u doing looking a serpent??
oh and last place to loose weight is chassis as you raise the C of G
I just happen to be browsing the ING site to see what they have to offer (and to find someone who had the 6 spoke .8 wheels in stock) and someone put a Serpent link in the way of my mouse click.
I'm not switching, I'm staying with Kyosho (although the OFNA is tempting).

have you tried microtech? they should have or should be able to point you in the right place
no one imports the ofna, take it you mean TC3 rip off! should have my new ride soon!!
their web site says out of stock, and one of my Kyosho suppliers deals with OFNA (but I'm not saying who)

If they were running a Lola prototype shell with motor sticking out of the body, that could be why cooling was not a problem. A closed Saloon would be a different proposition.
And those carbon chassis 1/5th cars have fan cooled motors don't they?
