Hi,
just wanted to know how should i clean and change the oil in the teflon bearings, because i dont want to ruin them and have to buy a new lot (there too expensive)
you can clean them using motor cleaner and just run them with a small amount of bearing oil (trinity royal oil is good)
for maximum performace run them dry - but beware they dont last long

do not run bearings dry!!
the bearing may feel free in your hand under no load, but as soon as it goes under load and metal to metal friction kicks in plus the heat generated, they will be worse than bushings.
use a light bearing oil used sparingly.

I have to agree, don't run them dry. You can get away with it in a mardave v12 cos you've got a big solid axle acting as a heatsink. use a light bearing oil. Even on the v12 i use a quick squirt of WD40

err..you replace the shield after you have cleaned it :)
wd 40 isnt really good enough for the bearings, try some 3 in1 if desperate.
dave
or the trinity royal oil actually as thats what its made for
the realy paper like sheald are not that good when you put them back in as they tend to crese and get in to the balls actually
