People seem to be making a big deal about this new X-ray (I've certainly had a lot of people asking me if I have seen it.
But why has no one made a big deal about this one:

Hi
Look lads can we keep these touring car thing to their own thread, or at least start one called "Shed of the Week" or something more appropriate.
This bit of RaceChat is for 1/12 circuit cars, you know those dead simple little dead fast things that go round corners properly..

If this was posted in the 1/10th! touring car section we would probably be told to put it in the 12th section.
Surely this is the best place for them since there is no 1/12th touring car section.

I was going to say! The M1 mini has been around for years (although it isn't made anymore!). It was used for the eurocar class in 1/12th oval (this class has since died), and it wasn't really that popular. So what's different about these cars that make them better than the M1 (apart from the fact that they are newer designs!).
Touring cars are for 1/10th racing, 1/12th pan cars are for 1/12th circuit racing, so what makes yokomo/xray think there will be a market for these cars? I know i won't be buying one!

There is nothing that makes them better it's just the name. Yokomo and Xray are two of the biggest car manfacturers so when they bring out cars, people take note! I actually quite like the Yokomo, looks pretty cool! 8)

Hi
Well I'm assuming your looking for an answer
so
No ;D
Not really, I think it has much more in common with a touring car than it does with a 1/12 to be honest, apart from the scale that is.
Of course that thread is for 1/10th so currently no where really suits so we'll let this run if anybody want to discuss their merits etc.
I'll ask Rob if he would consider an "everything else" thread to cover these sort of oddballs.

At Grays theres a couple of the M1 cars.
Brittle - i think not.
Quick - well they are OK - with 6 cells and a decent stock in then there not too far behind 12ths (although also not too far behind the Touring Cars either)
The only real problem with the M1 car is that the drivetrain's not very light and the car itslef is quite heavy. It grips well thou....
