best ESC for M18

helping a mate to start micro racing i've seen the novak spy but would like to know what else is out there?

One that fits!, there's not much space in the M18, I prefer to have the ESC mounted on the chassis itself. this means even less space available. I use an M.troniks M Cubed, no longer in production and it's a limitless 1/10 ESC. I only use it because it fits neatly next to the motor. The LRP Quantum Micro ESC is available and will fit on it's side by the motor or flat on top of the servo. I think the Novak spy would have to be mounted on top of the servo, but I've never seen this so couldn't be too sure.

Xray do have their own micro ESC's now, but be aware that one is rated only for the normal 180 motor and the other is for the larger speed 300 / big block motor.

hope this helps, there will be a good deal more out there, but space is at a premium in the M18!

Quantum Micro Reverse as stated above is a great option.

I run one in mt Mini-T with 300 size motors and it is superb! size is nice and small too.

you can also switch off reverse as well so you can do some proper braking.

it does have full brake functionality when reverse is enabled but there is no delay for reverse (which is a good thing)

;D thanks for your help guys!! i did look at the "M18 power pack" but i wasn't that impressed i must admit the quantum micro reverse sounds good!
