In the good old days, there was a velcro battery mounting strap made by somebody (maybe Trinity?) which consisted of a nylon strap passing under the chassis then ending in velcro which fastened above the batteries. ??? Anybody know if it's still made? If anyone does can they tell me where it's available, don't fancy the sticky mess left will re-inforced tape >:(

Yokomo do a similar product and is reasonably successful. Although, I still use fibre-glass tape because that seems to grip better (when you're hitting things as hard as I am, they need to be held in well).

I've seen them around too. The problem is the tape that passes under the chassis - it is too thick and severly limits ground clearance.

However, there is nothing to stop you putting velcro ends on a piece of glass-re-enforced tape so that you could use it many times - and the bit underneath the car would be thin.

Yokomo straps are very thin going under the chassis.

Also nice and smooth :)
