Hobbywing or speedpassion software?

Looking at the hobbywing speedos but am i bit confused could i ask some advice. I do 13.5.

- 60a or 120a
- Does it matter if its the hobbywing or speed passion program box
- Where do i get the latest turbo softwares from are they off there websites
- How do u get it on the program box and speedo

Sorry if they are silly questions but just want to be sure

I thought they're the same, so would just use whichever is the latest version, but doesn't it update itself?

dunno mate it does come with software i think but not the latest one. Just wondered whether one was better than the other. Also what is the latest software?

Hi Matt,
get the Hobbywing Extreme stock (60A) - UK importer is Racers in Exile
Hobbywing made the Speed Passion, so no need to pay the extra!!! Also noted that Hara is using a HW.
The Extreme stock is what we are using at Coastal.
Software can be downloaded from their website. Latest is 211 stock.

I have the V2.0 HW 60amp and it has been fine with a 10.5 onroad. I was running the Speed Passion 323 firmware at the weekend and it was really smooth.

Is there any difference in performance between the hobbywing 211 stock software and the speed passion 323 firmware.

Haven't tried Speed Passion software as the HW 211 works fine,

Also i have ordered the hobbywing 2 in 1 program box which comes with the hobbywing card. Will i be able to put on the speed passion software using that or will i have to get the speed passion program card

Yes you can use the Hobbywing 2 in 1 box with the Speed Passion Software. All you need to do is download the Speedpassion software and flash the 2 in 1 box with it and it is done. When you use it next it will display speedpassion on the screen.

matt if ur going sunday to colchester ill give u my setup it works realy well . i use the h/w 211 :)

Tbh we haven't complete decided what software to put on yet but speedo and box hasn't arrived yet so theres no great rush. Dont think we are racing now till the wednesday before the stcc now for various reasons mark but if I do go for the h/w software that would be awesome mate. If I don't c ya I'll give ya message if thats ok mark?

hi i had the sp pro2 esc but this broke after big crash i have ordered the hobbywing xtreme stock esc can i use my speed passion lcd box to load the sp 110323 software on to the hobby wing esc with no probs or do i need a hobbywing lcd program card ? thanks

I don't see why not, I've used the Hobbywing box to upload their software onto a Speed Passion esc so it should work the other way round.
