3731 and hidden tiger, easy on the smilies, is makes your posts hard to read. Limit yourself to a maximum of 2 per message. And don't expect a responce within a couple of hours either - remember its friday. Many people are still at work or school.
In a few words, get a Mardave. the cheapest form of R/C out there. :D

Hi,
You don't say which part of the coumtry you are...If there's a local club that race Mardaves find out when they race. You'll get loads of helpful advice. And yes if you cna race them locally there probably THe best class to start with; as you can be competative without spending a fortune. Read the first post at the head of the section for adive on building and setting up.
Hope this helps,
Ian

5 main reasons why you should get a mardave:
1. They are cheap
2. spares and upgrades are also cheap
3. they are built like tanks
4. they race them almost everywhere
5.very tight rules so everyones is pretty much the same
hope this helps

Good comment, couldn't have put it better myself.
Cheap
Easy to build and maintain
Fun to race
Rules make it very even
The best class to start rc with!
You should definitely try and find a club to race it at, otherwise you'll get bored very quickly if you're driving round a car park!
