Novak switching frequency ?

Anyone know the frequency at which the novak pulses the motor ?

I guess it depends on the motor rpm, though I don't think that's necessarily true.

I don't have a scope right now - I have some numbers from a frequency counter, but I don't quite believe them.

The frequency is 31.4KHz.

I'd read the brushless 'How it works' that Marcus posted, it demystifies it all ;)

So just to check, that's the switching speed seen by the battery, right ?

(This is related to the "external cap warm" stuff).

Erm yes it's what the battery 'sees'.

Re external cap etc, things do tend to get warm at higher frequencies.
