i am DEFINATELY getting one of these!!! Small is big!! i got a micro rs4 and it is pretty cool. I think the appeal of 1/18th is very big, and will be for a while
Any one know if there will be a non RTR version and not just the one advertised. I have a strange dislike of RTR's cos i enjoy building cars and like to know the insides of em

hopefully the orion motor's for the micro rs4 will be able to fit in this. Thus meaning instant power and speed upgrade!
Taken from the Stormer Hobbies (USA) website :
"The motor that is in the Mini-T is unique. The mounting holes are about 1mm different than all the standard Micro RS4 motors that are on the market. To try a Micro RS4 motor in your Mini-T, you will need to file a little on the motor plate so the mounting screws will work. Be sure the motor you select will be compatible with the trucks speed control."
So I guess putting the Novak SS5800 brushless from my T4 into a Mini-T is a non-starter... ;D
Toon, you know its funny you should mention brushless...I recently saw an advert for an american company realeasing a brushless system for the micro rs4...now just imagine that in a mini-T!

it only comes with wheel, but.
it is 27Mhz so I would assume you can get any 27Mhz radio to work with it
I would confirm this with your supplier first though
information I have is that it would be just as expensive to go into dual production for a kit version so just buy the whole lot and use another radio with it (get confirmation that this does actually work first)

yep shame its rtr,but i already got some spare micro gear and a tiny 40mhz reciever and a 7.4v li- poly pack lying around so i will probably use those, should be fun when i bolt a quicker motor on it.

Just got done reading an article in "Radio Control Car Action" magazine and it looks great. Changing to 40mhz may be a problem though. The article stated that the receiver/ESC is a combo unit. Also the shocks will be friction instead of oil, but options should follow very soon. The article also stated that run time with AA alkalines should be about 45 minutes. Just think about the longer mains possible. Anyway, it is already on my Christmas wish list.

yes the speedo/reciever may be a combo in a box but they are usually on different circuit boards and splitting them isnt really a problem if you know what you are doing, but as i said i have some tiny 4channel 40mhz recievers(1/3rd the size of a matchbox) and some small speedos so for me it wont be a problem.
runtime sounds ok but that wil drop a lot with a hot motor and running on anything but smooth surfaces, remember they run on low drag clay not grass.

they would be most fun on polished wooden floor with a few jumps

from what I heard there will be different tires available in just 1 compound (a new compound, not red or silver) not sure on prices.
the standard ones looked to work quite well, not much grip but quite balanced.
