Help....

Having recently got 414M I'm having trouble getting the gearing right. I used to run an 04PRO and really had it singing round Bedworth on 47/120. This ratio wont fit on the 414 and when I changed it to 45/112 it just doent pull the same with the stock motor.

Is it worth changing to 48dp? If so what pionions / spurs should I get.

Cheers

Your origonal ratio of 47/120 is 2.553191:1 the closest to that in 48 pitch is 33/84 giving a ratio of 2.5454545:1 a difference of 0.3%. you can work off from here.

if im right 414 internal gear ratio is the same as 04. Try gearing a 19t at around 5.2 at bedworth for a good starting point.
so a 112/46 should be ok to start with.
