Rite.. We at HWMSC have been taking some video footage of the Hotrod racing at the club. i have been asked to put it on the web.. and so here it is!!
The main car focused on in the video is that of Mark Stiles with Roy Calver chasing him.
gives you an idea of the HWMSC track, and how the hotrods go at our circuit!
a more detailed video is in the pipe line but as yet not finished! (will include some on-board sequences!)

Rite.. update.. we now have some onboard action of hotrod racing..
The camera is on Mark Stiles' car
the car he is following is another club member called Neil Lisowski (sorry if that is spelt wrong!!)
as you can see some very very close racing action.. like most of the races on tuesday nite just gone.. some dead close racing!!!
enjoy.. (ps sorry the quality is not great.. compromise between download time and quality!)

wicked!
I love the bit where neil comes back past me at the end of the straight.
My car was a pig to drive with a camera on the bonnet and a 9V battery in the roof! There was so much body roll!

Very nice!
What sort of camera did you use?
Someone attached a wireless camera to their Stockcar at Stoney Stanton and had an LCD TV fixed to their pit box receiving the pictures, most impressive!

What about putting the camera at a particular place on the track (like the inside of the first corner). Then video the race as well, and edit the footage to get the race filmed from several places (like racing on the telly!)

Yep, it was a tiny wireless camera powered by a 9V battery. there is a receiver connected to the telly, so you can watch the race as it happens, or video it as well!
