I am experimenting using the smaller of the two mission layshaft pulleys, the problem is, the rear belt seems to be too big.
It will not drive the wheels efficiently, without making a light grinding noise as the belt slips. It's a brand new belt, so a stretched belt shouldnt be the casue.

any ideas??

Have you turned the layshaft carriers around as per the instructions?

This the method of ensuring the tension of the rear belt. 20T pulley holes in the carrirs to the front, 17T pulley holes to the rear.

Depends if you are running stock or modified!
There is little difference between the grey stock and X-Ray belts, however for modified where the Grey belt is too soft it could free the transmission a bit.

I beleive the X-Ray belt has an extra tooth, but I must admit I didn't count mine when i put it on, held next to the grey belt they looked the same.

I run the xray 3mm belt on both my missions and it can handle all motors.....

frees the transmission further and better than rear grey belt imo
