Xtal Extension cable

Does anyone know where I can get an xtal extension cable from please ?

I need to relocate the reciever and where it is going getting to the crystal will be difficuilt, but easy if extended.

I'm no electonics expert, but I know that components need to be mounted close to the circuit board because of the timing of the circuit design. (I'm sure someone withthe right words can correct me later).
I can't imagine that moving such a critical piece of the design as the frequency crystal away from it's design location would help stability or reliability.

Furthermore, the crystals themselves are not terribly robust, if you were to mount it on an extension, and get it to work, it would have to be solidly and firmly mounted in a protected area.

In short. (and having googled), I don't think such a thing exists.

I know they used to be available, trouble is in the car I have im unable to mount the reciever as there isnt enough room, thus needing this extension.

Oh well, looks like I will have to change my plans, thanks for your help though

Have you tried plane accessories I'm sure they will have things like this?

I have done, but still can't find one. I've now had to mount my speedo on its side to get it in :O
