On a smooth surface where grip is low, I would suggest you run them as loose as possible without them slipping. It aslo helps if the front is slightly tighter than the rear.

I sometimes run the rear slightly tighter than the front on slippery stuff...
Always seem to find the back end not sliding as much then, still a little bit though. Ideally what you want...
Also are you running plastic diffs? If you bought them in the past few months PM me, as it is off topic.
There is an error in the mould... Associated invested in a new mould and got it wrong...

I'm still running the original diffs... 3 years on! And they work fine! I swear by white lightening for diffs

Thanks guys I have been running them pretty loose and as Dave says tighter on the front but I have been concerned about burning them out. We use yellow dot mini pins and I've been trying silver springs on the front blue on the rears if anyone has other suggestions please am willing to give them a try .

Matt, the White Lightning I'm referring to is a US sourced lubricant for bicycle chains which works wonders on the bevel gears in a TC3 diff...
This is the first post I can recall on running a TC3 on wooden floors.
I have received some advice from one or two people re. set up for wooden floor. Does anyone have more advice for TC3 setups to use on wooden floors ??

I run them dry .... And as for the Wooden floor setup, basically as soft as you can get it... Or like it... Possible a front roll bar but I wouldnt advise a rear... or none...

ok I just did some "research" on white lightning... and hmm... It does run dry, maybe I should try...
Could you PM me where you get the stuff from Dave? ... Or anybody else who knows for that matter...

We used to run on polished wood floor with pins at our club, I've gotta go back to work now but later tonight I'll post my setup for ya.

I don't know anywhere in the UK you can get White Lightning. I got mine during a trip to Chicago about 5 years ago. One bottle should last about 15 or so years!
