Hi all,
I've lived in Cambridge for a long time but never joined an RC club before. I'm only 10 minutes away from Milton so racing there sounds ideal!
What do I need apart from BRCA membership to come along? Also what cars does everyone run? I had a TC5R not too long ago but didn't like it too much so it went on to a new home. I have been tempted to get an M-05 chassis but all depends on what is run.
Thanks for any advice.
Hope to meet some of you soon.

Hi Will,
The most common cars at the club are: Xray T2 and T3, Schumacher MI2 and acouple of HB Cyclones.
Most are using Brushless Systems, 13.5 motor's with 7.4v Lipo's.
You can still use 27 and 19t Motor's with 6 cell batterys.
We also run slick tyres with additive to BRCA rules.

and you don't need a BRCA membership to come and try. BRCA give you 3 meetings to try before you buy! Just be careful, as our next race meeting (13th) is at Over. See website as Stel says.

Thanks for the replies.
I'll hang on for the BRCA membership for the moment then until I have a car sorted out.
I already have a new set of Schumacher Carpet Dragons, are they a suitable tyre?
So 13.5 brushless is the way to go too it looks. Is there a stock class that run 27t motors? As last time I ran a 13.5t brushless around a track indoors, it was way too quick!
Cheers

Great! Final motor related question I promise! Do you run stock 27t or modified? Any restrictions?
Cheers

hello will
we run 13.5 brushless and 27t 19t brushed motors modified would be way to fast. the 13.5 and 19t are about the same now but the 27t brushed motor is slower there is nothing stoping you going for a 15.5 or even a 17.5 brushless motor they are more like the 27t brushed speed now if the 13.5 was to fast before. brushless is the way to go now and lipo batterys hope this helps. see you at milton soon

Thanks for the reply.
I'll see how my sales do over the next few days and order myself a new touring car :) Don't think the TT-01 will cut it some how!
