Yes it will be a good carpet racer, THe stock setup may need changing if you run at a tight track, and maybe some stiffer springs, I also found that the Front Roll-bar was a useful investment. I have one for sale at the moment. Not a RTR but and standard xxx-s, It has had some mods and spares. It also comes with a brand new set of T27s, Pm me if you are interested. Thanks. Jonathan. PS I might also be able to supply motor, batteries to make the package more complete.

You'd be better posting car specific questions in the Losi forum ;).
To answer your question, and to save you having to wait so long for an answer while we are all racing at the weekends, there are virtually no bad cars out there any more.
Tamiya, Kyosho, HoBao and these sort of moving models are quite raceable.
Losi, Associated, Schumacher, X-Ray (Hudy), Corally, Trinity, Yokomo, and these sort of racing car chassis are all good. Make you own mind up about what you want by asking at your local club and shop, and seeing the cars in the flesh. Specific questions about an indivudal car are best posted on the car threads.
Waiting for us to answer can be such a bore, can't it!!
