New TC3

Does anybody know whether associated are releasing a new tourer soon or are they keeping the tc3 for a while longer?

We've had this topic plenty of time before now Richard. Try searching for similar threads, or just look down the Associated page alittle more.
But to answer your question, knowone really knows. AE keep things very close to their chests. Craig Drescher did hint at a new AE product towards the end of the year, whether it'll be a new touring car is still anyones guess. after all, the TC3 is still winnig plenty of championships.

Given Associated's past history with releasing cars, it is usually a good six months from when you see them running something to it actually being released.

You should be safe running the existing TC-3 for this season. I don't expect any of the Manufacturers will be wanting to show their hands just yet. There will be a number of new or revised cars for the Worlds (October).

If they are releasing a new tourer will they be able to call it a TC4 because GM Racing already
have a touring car called a TC4 :P

Most companies and I assume AE, are in business to make money and not just win races. Winning races can help sell products, but this is not always guaranteed.

At the moment I am not seeing many racers buying TC3's, they appear to be buying HPI or Yokomo. If AE are concerned about market share, they will need a new car.

It's not good business to have the best car if no one buys it.

if i was associated, I would "be seen" running a single belt touring car, not unlike the losi, just for a laugh, in the weeks before the new car would be released.

all i know is that, i will be sticking with my tc3's until they do bring out a tc4 or wotever it will be called.

Well Ive just bought a brand new TC3 Factory and looking forward to giving it its first outing when all the construction work has been completed.Im hoping its going to outperform my old tired SST2000 by streets,if it doesnt then the £1000 ive just invested in car,new radio gear,motor and speedo will be really peeing me somewhat.

Lets hope that the TC3 will improve my performance no matter what they replace it with in the future.

LOL, you'll still have to drive it yourself. ;D

No amount of money spend will correct this. But as far as tourers go, the TC3 is certainly top of the line.
