Charger / Discharger Info

Hi - been out of electric racing for best part of twenty years although I race Nirto now. Anyway I want to introduce my son to RC with a Mardave Meteor (remember them?) and I have an old Losi XX I can run around too. Picked up a couple of cheap 7.2V 3800mAh NI-MH and a 1600mAh NI-CD. Back in my day we temperature charged and used a car bulb to drain.

Clearly it's all moved on a bit since then and I need a suggestion or two on a clubmans 12v charger/discharger unit I can use to get us up and running.

with lots of people moving to lipos you will find many top spec chargers at low prices on ebay
at the moment there are a couple of Muchmore Cell Master chargers,
Charge current 0.1 - 10a adjustable...........Discharge current 0.1 - 10a adjustable
look for an equaliser board as well.

Just noticed, there are also some LRP Pulsar/Pulsar2
Charge current 0.1 - 10a adjustable...........Discharge current 0.1 - 10a adjustable

dont forget you only discharge NIMH to 0.9V per cell, not 0.0 V as per NICAD
