Ultra wide top deck

I noticed at the carpet wars some of the team drivers were using a extra wide top deck-Does any one now Where to buy one from?>

Was it the composite one off the T1R???
Or was it graphite, if it was, it isn't an official xray part.

It would be logical to assume its off the T1R which is stiffer than the EVO II

It was a graphite & very wide.Do you know of any after market shop that sells them.

They had the T1r lay out but the chassis was graphite but same as the T1R & a VERY WIDE top deck (i beleive they used them at the snowbirds as well) It was Jimmy M & a few others runing them at C/Wars..
They must be a after market shop selling them simlar to BMI

I understand they a factory team only issue, same as the bulkheads were initialy. We may get them eventualy or you could call fibrelyte.

Dunno, doubt it, probably a part made by xray that is still in development, along with the chassis they used at snowbirds. If you really want a stiffer topdeck, use two normal topdecks on top of each other, with longer screws.
I will be speakin to gavin at centrepoint in the next few days, so i will ask him.

Found out today, its a part that only the factory drivers are trying, to see which is better. Some others have made up a similar item, it is likely to be used everywere instead of the existing top deck.

just to clear it up its a prototype part, we are trying to get the car as stiff as possible so we make sure the dampers work correctly once i got my car right it was a lot quicker on sunday with the wide top deck on!! x ray also got

Hi guys

Just to make it crystal clear the top deck was made for the snowbirds race. It is designed to reduce all flex and work for foam tyres. It is not going to be released and even if you run foam tyres you should not try it as i dont think it will improve your cars in low grip levels in the UK. Definately do not try and make one yourselves as it could easily tweak the car if it is not 100% perfect.
