The SD isn't as light as you think out of the box, mine was a bit over the limit until I removed the centre brace and anti-roll bars.

I weighed my car and it worked out at just over 1500g's, stock no weight saving parts on car.

Mine is about 1550, I reckon that could be got rid of though, any useful ideas. Other than remove the top deck, I run on high bite carpet. Thanks. Jonathan.

Bin the centre stiffener - it's pointless.
Remove anti-roll bars if not in use.
Titanium screw set (should be the biggest weight reduction of any chassis mod).
Shell with thin layer of paint.
Other details will shed small amounts of weight, e.g. graphite plastic parts, aluminium/titanium drivetrain parts.

With GP3300s and PT mine weighs 1525g, and with 2400's, 1485g
with standard size reciever (BIG) and Nosram Dominator (15g) speedo, and KO 713 servo, nowt special.
Now fitted Rayspeed chassis, and there's not much in it, about 10-15 grams i reckon.

The center stiffner is not always useless, I took two center stiffners, stacked them on top of each other and bolted them down, without the blue supports. Great for high grip asphalt tracks.

What you all seem to be forgetting is that you should really concentrate on removing rolling weight and not stactic weight. As sorting out the rolling weight will make your car a little faster, where as stactic weight is what will affect the cars handling
