Wow,

What a tough day this Sunday turned out to be! My first attempt at 1/10 4WD off-road.

Suitably armed with a Schumacher Cat SX, I proceeded to crash in every manner known to man, removing a variety of parts from the car in the process. I think it's safe to say that (A) I understand the chassis' weaknesses, and (B) PBM Models (on-site trader), have a new 'best customer'...

Still, despite the expense it was a very enjoyable day, and I found myself booking in for the remaining events in the series, after clawing my way up to 5th place in my final, with a good 3rd well within my abilities (at least before I broke the car again...lol !!)

It's all Mr Drury's fault.....

cheers

J :-)

Man it was tough. No consistency. About 4 seconds between average and fastest lap!!!

Nice watching the A finals though. Gives you something to aim for...

...ahem!!!

Waiting for the 'upgrades' to hit the doormat. Reckon i'll run the buggy on Friday for the crack...

416 not built yet, and the very latest LRP SXX Stock spec thingy is gonna be a week or two, so no point getting all excited just yet!!!

Yeah you did well Jules for a first attempt, you have defo got potential !

I have manage to rope Josh into it too now and got his car picked up :)

Off road sure is addictive. For those interested, heres the B final.

I am the idiot who was day dreaming when Dave Gibson crashed in front of me when i should of been marshalling :(

There were more than 90 in 4WD and 60 in 2WD. Apparently its the biggest series in Europe now. What an awesome day. Roll on Rd 4

Yeah it is tough. Goes to show how good the A Final guys are cos i have seen Paul Bradby do 1/10th between average and best on a similarly laid out track.

Paul and Neil Cragg are pretty much always top two in 2WD with James Helliwell not too far behind them.
