The upgrades are now on the xray site. Chassis looks good! :)
Does anybody know when the parts will be available in the shops?

I think the chassis looks great - but it's going to be a bit like the HPI Pro 3 argument.
A car that was designed to flex in the kit to provide mechanical grip - the M18 is the same, the flex is a deliberate design feature. When you put a stiff chassis on the car - it put's great demand on the suspension and a poor suspension set up will make the car handle terrible with the stiff carbon chassis. This has already happened overseas when people were making carbon chassis straight away in December last year. I think they miss the point of the standard chassis altogether - they just think 'It bend's like a banana - so it must be poor and give poor performance'. This problem was in a thread months ago on the one18th website and the chassis builder had no idea of the effect his chassis would have on the car!
I agree the chassis looks great and is in a variety of colours! - but still it is designed for only five cells. Again as with the kit chassis, six cells will fit in - but not in as low a position as the five cells. If the carbon chassis weighs more than the kit chassis (not sure how thick it is) then that's another reason I wouldn't buy it. It does eliminate the upper chassis brace, however.
One thing I do like is the Xray motor mount, and I like the fact that both big bore and 180 motors can be fitted to it. The alloy U/J driveshafts look great and the 6 degree caster wishbones are a welcome addition.
I think when they release the alloy oil filled shock absorbers the carbon chassis will work well - not too sure how it will handle with the coil spring shocks ???- I'm basing this on what drivers in the US said, - basically the car had good grip with the stock chassis and when they added a carbon chassis or even one with a double deck the car had very little grip.
Have to wait and see - but those are my thoughts on it ::)
