I'm trying to fit it in a Losi xxx-s but i cant get the capacitor on anywhere that stays. Have any people got a good permanent resolution to this?
thanks

you would not like suggestion for the perminant resolution... ::) lol ;D
seriously though
Have a look on some american RC car picture sites, Novak is massive over there and seems to have big ties with Losi, maybe there are a few pics of BK's car and how he fits it in?
or maybe someone runs one in a xxx-s on here???

Hmmmm they seem to run it stupidly close to the wishbones. Ok i can live with that but now im stuck with my xxx-4 as the body wont fit! all i got is cyclones. Has anyone had problems with interferience if you run a speedo next to the receiver instead?

I have seen quite a few cars running all their electrics in front of the motor. I have not tried it though

I run my cyclone in front of the motor and reciever on its side on top of the servo and never had any interference. The only time i mounted the speedo behind the motor i caught the underside of my chassis when i came off the track, under where the speedo was, broke chassis, pulled off speedo which in turn damaged the reciever.

Just create some cuts in the spur cover for a tie-wrap. The power cap will forever stay secured there.

Simplicity in itself! Thanks a lot! ;D

I've run a TC2 in my XXXS for as long as i've had the car. Basically my electronics setup is this:
Reciever mounted on its side against the tunnel on top of the servo. TC2 behind the Motor (i found this means you can get shorter motor wires plus power wires dont go so close to the ariel). I've had my cap in two places: 1, tie wrap to the rear shock tower or 2, take the wires up over the motor and stick the cap (using hot glue or servo tape) standing up-right infront of the motor. I have never had any interference with this setup.
As for the Losi/Novak "thing" in the States, the Associated factory is also the US LRP repair/distribution centre..... and since the BIG rivalry in the RC world is AE vs TL, well, i'm sure you can fill in the rest.... In the UK its reversed, since Helger distribute TL and LRP, and CML do AE and Novak.....
