Sorry but due to the abuse i suffered last time i will NOT be taking bookings on the day, if you wish to race you need to get booked in on central booking.

Are we able to camp this weekend at bedworth?

Very limited as we are now in the Rugby season (most of the grassed area out of bounds) and if it should rain heavy before the weekend that will only make it worse, caravans to use the hardstanding carpark.

No is the simple answer, but i do have 5 F1s booked in (club racers) i can mix them with the GT10s but at the moment they have a seperate heat.

Andy, i don't think that bob is taking any bookings on the day because of what happened last time when he was messed about alot so he wanted everyone to book in via central booking but now its closed. so unless they can sweet talk to bob they might not have a chance of getting in.
but glad to see you coming and i'll see you sunday.

If i personally know the person i may "that is may" posibly be talked into taking a late booking, you guys must know what crap i got last time for trying to help so must understand my reluctance to take late bookings.
I do have some space in GT10 and it would be nice to see more running.

bob, you should not take any bookings on the day cause the people that bookin on the day are the ones that only go if the sky is blue, which is unfair to the real drivers that support the event that book in early.

:) great day but i have to disagree on the clean driving front. i and many others have said this all the way through the series with no one specifically watching the racing and giving out penalties as approriate has put a bit of a damper on the series.
It's the only problem that i have with the series the people i talk to are all brilliant its just when it comes to driving some people (including A-final drivers) dont understand the basics of motor racing. i'll admit im not the cleanest driver but if i take someone out i wait not just drive off.... :o

Always a hard one driving standards especially if you are a dad watching.
Funny realy but i specially watched one race very closely because we had a couple of complaints (from 2 seperate drivers) about one certain driver, i watched him closely and couldnt see much wrong, then HIS dad came in and complained about another driver !!!, i had seen nothing but the odd door handling noting to give a penalty out for.
Maybe dads should be banned they tend to have a biased veiw, i know i do when watching my lads.

I agree 100%, driving standards and driver ettiquet have had alot to be desired throughout the series.
I saw alot of cars pushing others from behind throughout all the finals on sunday even upto A final pro stock and one car in the prostock a final cutting a corner going straight through a pull off area twice and get away with it. Whilst i was looking at times I saw one person on sunday go to race control ask if there was a race referee only for the guy in race control to turn round and say there is no referee.

yeah driving standards wasnt great, but that would of been put right with a race ref. personally I dont think a meeting is a meeting without at least 2 stop and go's ;):D:p

Dont even go there and think about having a go at "the bloke in race controll" he has Leukemia, has not long undergone a complete stem cell transplant and has more medical problems (kidneys, liver, hart, infections most have never heard of, bone problems, muscle wasting, eyes, diabeties, sickness, takes tablets by the bucket load each day, Realy bucket loads, a list of problems so long you wouldnt bealeve it" but he was there to help and try and get himself out a bit.
Now try and put your toy car racing into perspective !!!

we aren't having a go at the guy in race control we are just voicing our opinions on the series in general

What on earth does that have to do with having a race referee?
What is the point in having a competition and not having a race referee.
No referee no point racing.

Reading the above posts I see that no one is questioning or having a go at the race director of Bedworth, so I'm not sure we deserved such a response. The above racers are just questioning that with this being a competitive series that they should be a ref, or at least for each of the finals.
On central booking the rules for TORC it says the following...
Referee
Where possible each club will provide an independent referee for each meeting. Penalties issued by the referee must be given to the race director at the time of the incident and will be,
· 1st warning: 10-second penalty
· 2nd warning: Loss of FTD
· 3rd warning: Disqualification
Referees will be there to enforce driving standards and driver conduct on the rostrum. However the referee will also be aware of the skill level of the heat/drivers at the time and will adjust his / her decisions accordingly.
...from the rounds I've attended I've never seen a ref, maybe this will be addressed at the agm for next years series?

The only persons to complain on sunday were dads, and i had already had complaints about there sons, the phrase dont throw stones if you live in a glass house comes to mind.
From what i saw the racing was very good out of 85 drivers we had 3 complaints about driving standards, we watched these people very very closely and saw nothing requiring a penalty.
The only person who did deserve a penalty was the dad who threatened to punch a drivers lights out, because his son was perfect (although the other 2 complaints i had were about his son ??) im sorry but i find it all a bit funny.
As a race director i can bet the people complaining most tend to have the worce driving standards.

Thats abit of an insult saying these people have bad driving standards when your probably dont know a face to half of them bob. You say that you only had 3 complaints? doesnt mean that people arent moanin behind the scenes. Fair play dads do get upset when their lads are doing well and get took out its a form of racing at the end of the day aint it.

With reference to the comments made by Justin regarding the annual meeting we have to disscuss this series it would be nice to see a larger number of representatives turn up to the meeting instead of 1 or 2 from each club. I am sure John will post the date of the meeting on here, so if you would like to change something then come along. Every one is welcome, and all opinions are taken on board.
