Having ran this combination for the first time indoors on carpet. I have to say i was very dissapointed on performance.
Its early days for me and Lipo but i dont know what i need to do to increase speed ,punch etc.
Maybe the rollout i was using was too low.
Ran with an LRP SPX on profile 6. Noval 10.5 at 55mm rollout. The car was so flat I thought I had a problem
Any ideas.

Gear it up Vince. You have gone from 4.2v to 3.7v a drop of approx. 12% on nominal voltage, gear it up by 10% to begin with and go from there, so your starting rollout will be 60/61 mmm/rev. I would not be suprisied if you got to 65mm/rev. They were running 80mm/rev outdoors with lipo /10.5.
And try LRP profile 8 at about 60mm. Please don't criticise something you need help sorting out - 1S in my car on 63mm/rev with Tekin boost added is as fast as my 4-cell on a regular speedo, and that's before I get the weight advantage in the infield! ;)
Ask Charles Butterworth how easy it is for me to thrash his 2S car now!! :p :D
By the time I return from Vegas, we will have all the background we need on 1S set-ups, both car and speedo!! ;)
I ran 1s 10.5 for the first time last nite too, through the infield felt fine, though no punch at all, but held my own, but down straight I got distroyed, lost any advantage through the in field and some, still early days, then speedo started playing up, motor would not move from standstill without a shove! Annoying

Will a Speed Passion lpf be ok on 1s ith 10.5?
This is what I was hoping to use.

Tim, I ran that speedo last season on 1S without any problems.
I have got a slightly different question:
Is the 1S competitive against the 2S if speedo and motor are the same? Will the weight difference balance the difference in energy content of the two batteries?
No! For the same motor/speedo combination you have twice the voltage, and that means a LOT more speed. Despite the weight difference, unless there is very little grip on a very twisty track, a 2S car will always win that competition against the clock! HTH :)
Has anyone tried the gm 120 esc on 1s 10.5, mite have done a deal on one to try

yes, ish
I ran 1S mod at Bedworth TORC last weekend, new track record by 5 seconds
will be running 10.5 as soon as i can, but dont see as it will be a problem
apart from having to use a Rx pack or voltage booster

Thanks Chris.
Do you run Spektrum and will I need a voltage booster?
Thanks

post on rctech thread says
Just be sure that your ESC has been updated to 1.5
probably has lipo cut off built into software
