12th racing....

This is the situation at the moment.

Over centre have no space till after xmas...and i cannot book there untill i know the milton dates for next year (J.P gets these at the start of 2010)

I have viewed Over church hall, willingham social club and willingham community hall (on the high street) all are too small.

BUT recon we could be in luck. Willingham has a hall similar to milton, this has space for two babminton courts inside so should be enough space. I have been trying to contact willingham parish this week with no luck (been told its holiday time :mad:

if i cannot get through today i know someone on the parish commity and will contact them over the weekend.


to start with im going to find out what days are free, then speak with J.P then i will post the new dates. Willingham is 2 minutes from Over so not much extra travel time.


I will keep everyone posted once i know more details.

Just spoken to the parish, i have sent a e-mail to the person i need to speak to, sounds promising.

as the school holidays are nearing an end they will have more time and im hoping a meeting with the parish will be organised next week,

Im having a chat with the parish on monday. il take the dates and try to book one a couple of weeks later.

need to check for storage space on monday but the parish said all is ok so far.

we should be racing again soon. :D

Not sure if this helps, but many years ago when I was involved with CAMRECC, we used to use the following venues for 1/12th racing.
The Maltings at Ely
The Arkenstall centre in haddenham

Ok, it was many many years ago, but I think they all had somewhere to store the carpet.
