i have seen a team blue star bearing set for the tc3 advertised on a certain rc hop up website for £25. looks to be cheap and good, the bearing are rubber sealed.
does anyone have any experiences with team blue star bearings?

ive never had anyexperience with 'blue star' but if you are looking for some good, cheap, rubbersealed bearings, ill PM you the info on mine, which are, after almost a year, run great, were very cheap 8)

Id spend the money on a bodyshell that isnt taped together :P

Yeah my B4 is kitted out with these and i must say they are quieter than the normal rubber sealed ones, well worth the extra cash ;D

Why bother with all these fancy bearings when you can pop into your local fishing shop (yes fishing shop) order very high quality bearings for a fraction of the price you will pay elsewhere and of a much higher quality.

these 'fancy' bearings are cheaper than the standard associated ones :P

Not joking on the fishing shop they order bearings all the time for fishing reels and they are of a very high quality and cheap as well.

i assume the fissing bearings are only metal shielded???

In answer to the other question yes they are only metal sheilded. However it is a proven fact that they are better than rubber sheilded as the metal shield does not touch the race whereas the rubber shields do have some contact with the internal race thus adding some friction

I run them in mine they are very smooth and relativly cheap for the kit but will not be as free as unshield or metal sheilded bearing it all depends on how much maintenace you want to do ...
