Well, here we are again... yet another brilliant day at SRCC :D

The kinda "S" shaped track lent itself to some close racing with a great mixture of fast and slower parts... Had a good day myself with no breakages and a couple of nip 'n tuck rounds... oh, and the obligatory Demo Derby round to boot!

Thanks for the day K 'n P and also to all the guys who set up and took down the track... AND a pre 1-30 finish an' all... must be some kind of record...

I can't believe it will be 14 days 'til we can all do it again... this weekly thing has been spoiling us!

Hey Gary... how did you get on today? (tee-hee back at ya..:p) I suppose Steve C will be posting seeing as he beat me! ;)

A belated thanks to everyone who attended and helped

I had a reasonable day to get onto the same lap as Dave :) , a minor triumph for me especially on worn out tyres, and close to Pro Stock Pace (Dave eclipsed this by 8 seconds today!)

Track was fast, it has to be said heat 2 was by far the messiest driving unfortunately, but maybe it was the fast track design that made them do it :p

Will be slightly more technical next time , I will be putting a quick report up on the website soon, I am updating the gallery steadily... 1:12 cars are updated, track pics are up to date and I've added some crawler pics from outside the club. 1:10 cars and other pics to follow

Or maybe just being hot-headed and needing to win at all cost.. or maybe not knowing what finger does what... who knows... so come on guys relax... it's a friendly club meet... lets keep it that way... it's not a cheap hobby, so let's try to keep all drivers in the race 'til the finish line...

I must admit it was a bit embarassing seeing and hearing all the collisions... :(

Heat 1 put heat 2 to shame and yet I grade drivers at every meeting and heat 2 should be not only faster but better drivers , not faster and more crashes:( track won't be as fast this next time .

Me and Keith watched some 1/8 Off Road racing yesterday at a model show with 12 cars racing round a 45 second lap track and I was really really impressed at how CLEAN and courtious they were at the bends, avoiding collisions, looking ahead, slamming the brakes on if an accident ahead , really good stuff :) , everyone getting round and enjoying themselves.

Lets not forget guys that we're not exactly racing each other until the finals, so it doesn't matter if you come first or last, you just have to better your time etc. We're really trying for qualifying positions, so lets try and be a bit more careful, after all, it does get a bit expensive, and we all hate to miss a final OR a meeting because of somebody else's bad driving.

Well said Gary, everyones racing against the clock individually.

I think I will appoint Martin and Gary as official 'Driver Calmers Downers' :)

Calm down , calm down
