I have a TLO1 based road car which as we all know is 185mm wide.
I've bought a HPI body which is 190mm wide a difference of 5mm.

Now here comes the stupid question..............!

If I buy 26mm Schumacher or HPI, etc wheels am I looking to buy one which are 26mm wide with a 3mm offset to fit the body?
Because at the moment with the standard wheels looks like some "idiot" bought a body a size too big!!!

Anyone encountered this problem yet and got around it?

Yes and before any one says it I know 3mm + 3mm = 6mm

You could try that, or you could go the route of some wheel wideners, small alloy discs that go between the wheen ans hex pushing them out a little. Tamiya do them in packs of 8, 4x1mm and 4x2mm and them come in either red or blue. Only down side of them is you need to find some "low profile" wheel nuts or thiner hexs so the nyloc hits the thread properly.
