Hi,

Are there any rules or recommendations regarding children marshalling?
My daughter is 7 years old and a current BRCA member who races a B4.
Would you say she is OK to marshall a 1:10 electric buggy race outdoors?
Or is she too young?
The buggy's are modified class (unlimited brushless motors and lipo cells)

Thanks,

10th ic ban all under sixteens from the track area, if the club allow it its at your discreation and risk as her parent/guardian

my suggestion would be have a word with race control and see if they will let her have a safe/easy area, im sure they will oblige

I also know that some on road tracks have some marshalling points where there is a small wire mesh guard fence to stand behind. (Adur and Aldershot to name two).

Maybe some off road tracks have something similar?

So that may also be something to consider, where possible, but I agree with Mark, i'd have a word with race control :)
