I currently have a HPI 1/10th touring car and would like to improve im a bit of a novice :- but intend to learn a lot with my HPI Sprint would the Mi2 Carbon be a good car to invest in?
And are there any good setup guides for it ???
Or would the normal Mi2 Be good I wan to race at Snetterton I have heard the carbon can get damaged quick!

Thanks Simon Goodey

I can tell you you do need a new car the mi2 is getting better every week but pro 4 is looking good to but its breaking after 2 races.i think you will be better with a mi2 because the mission was very good and i think mi2 will just be as good, good luck piking your new car.

I've seen a couple of Mi2 running now, and they're quick!!
They are also apparently strong, despite looking a bit fragile in places (wishbones)

I've run my Mi2 Carbon for two meetings now and the car is superb. I ran a Losi XXX-S last year and after only two meetings i am lapping faster with the mi2. The car has a super free drive-train out of the box and i have found it has considerably more straight line speed than the Losi did. An altogether excellent car in my opinion.

P.S if anyone would like the setup i have been running feel free to PM me it is for slippy gym hall floor, running minipin tyres.

The Set up in the instruction book is an excellent starting point. Run my Mi2 at Ipswich in the 2 last legs of the finals (rain caused me not to use it to start with - 1 qualifying run with the Mission in the wet) with that set up and it seemed very good, I didn't change the set up much from Ipswich to Snetterton when i last raced their with the Mission.

The Mi2 has now had an outing at Bury indoors and a change of front springs was the only alteration.

Thanks Andy, did PM the address.

Yes we cater for all abilities, and we have all abilities racing, from beginners through to "experts".
Heats are graded so you will be racing against racers of a similar ability

wat would be best for me (novice) carbon or the plastic one?

There isn't a plastic version, the two versions are Carbon Fibre or S1 which is a composite weave chassis.

The S1 version is probably the best option for you as it is not as stiff as the Carbon version which allows a little more leeway in the setup.
The stiffer Carbon chassis does require the set up to be more spot on.

Although I have the Carbon version the other team driver at Ipswich has an S1 on order!

I don't think performance wise there will be much of a difference, the S1 will be a bit easier to set up.

the S1 Mi2 shouldnt be that more flexier than the carbon car. this is because the S1 comes with a 2.5 mm chassis compared to the carbon car that comes with a 2mm chassis.

the S1 should be out within a week and by the results of testing should be very competitive!!
