Just got back from good day at Chesterfield racing 1/12th. The next one is June 21st; Alexander and I will be there. If you fancy a different days racing, you can still (just) get an entry.

Is anyone planning to race at the last two rounds? If so I might put an entry in. I get back from uni on June 20th, so a bit tight with getting my car ready for the next one, plus I'll need to fork out for some new wheels/tyres and give the cells a couple of cycles (haven't been touched since xmas...)

Hi Ralph
I'm going to the last round but not the July one - I can't make that one as I should be on holiday then!

Well I might book myself in for 19th July then. I should be driving over summer, so you're welcome to a lift Tom.

Well the dust has settled after yesterday's meeting so I thought I'll let you know how it went. Firstly - John, where were you?
In general the day was abismal - I got one good run out of six (in the second round with a 39 lapper which qualified me at the back of the C final), the rest I either got caught up in traffic or the car broke. The casualty list is a long one, including two clamping rear hubs, a servo saver (which resulted in me completing only 2 laps of the final), around 6 rear tyres with various amounts of chunking and a completely trashed body shell. All in all it was one of the least enjoyable and worst day's racing that I've ever had.
Oh, and I also bought a set of angled servo mounts only to find when I got home that they don't fit.

...theres a good reason why the servo is mounted flat in that car. Leave it that way. :)
