I am interested in buying one of these to compete in the IC foam class next year. I have noticed there are two versions (C + E Class) and I think I want the C class because of the gear diffs, it suits my driving style better.

So, has anyone got one? What do you think of them? more importantly, is getting parts easy?

Also, can anyone recommend a resonably priced engine? I am currently looking at the 3 port STS .12 as it's sub £100 and very competitive.

having just reviewed and teasted a C class i can say they are very good for the money, and stig was happy too.

if you want to run foams and be competitive as you hate rubber so much you really need a one way as well, not to mention the centax syle clutch and roll bars that come in the E class, the diff is about £20. if you want any more info then subscribe to rcracenews.
as there will be some good tips and an important must have item.

if you want i can pm you a shop that has ALL the parts in stock for the car, also do web sales. if you know who imports robitronics its them if not pm me for details
engines to be honest i have seen the sts engines do not so good, i would say nova rossi, serpants version, rossy pixi picco and R&B at the end of the day you pay you money and take your choice, but ask your self, why are they cheap

I liked the gear diffs because you didn't have to be so aggresive with the car to get it to do anything (from my experience of driving a Serpent 705).

Cartman:- did you have any trouble when you were building it? any parts that didn't fit well?

I believe ben kelsall ran the sts car and engine at mendip, he had nothing but trouble with both.

My local shop imports the STS gear, he said the car was not that good, but a lot of people are running the engines and I believe Peter Craig made the B Final (in rubber) using one. I have been told that for national racing I would want to get something a bit better like a Rossi or a RB.
