whats the best charger to use for lipo? I've seen some for around 135 quid but as I'm a newby can't see what advantages these will give? Now I've read things about storing lipos at set voltage and never let them go below a certain voltage so I'd be happy with a charger that does that?
Thanks alot
Chris

Just find a charger that balance as well as charge.
Most of the chargers out there are perfectly capable of doing the job.
But I wonder about the calibration of the voltages on a lot of chargers!
As for storing, I make sure both my lipos are stored after they have done a run so they are half empty.

Chris I see you've got an Orion charger for sale, one that will do Lipo ? Why not just keep it and use it ?

it says it'll charge at up to 6amps, so that should be fine as you only need to charge at 1C anyway

Also do the better charger tell you what mah is left in battery and can charge or discharge to exact voltage?

8.4v is the legal voltage for lipo so aslong as its set at that then no worrys. And i dont think your meant to discharge batteries as it doesnt do them any good.

I read a post saying to improve mah the discharged to 6v then back to 8.4 or somthing? May just keep what I've got then. Any idea where you can get a power distributer what plugs into your 12v? Modeltech are out at the min

don't discharge and recharge them, just charge them and make sure they're balanced. that's all
