You were unlucky on saturday keith, your car looked like it was right on the money in qualifying (hence you got pole!? ???).
My first national meeting was very enjoyable; undoubtedly one of the best meetings I've been to. I loved the twisty layout! ;D
I got 6th in the "B" on saturday, but dropped to 4th in the "C" today, even though I was over two laps quicker than yesterday in qualifying! :o Its surprising how rounding a couple of the corners off for sunday gave me an extra 2 laps! ;)
I did have a bit of a bad end to a great weekend though, as I crashed and broke my axle while I was 2nd in leg 2 of my final, after winning leg 1! D'oh! >:(
Nevertheless, I learned a lot, and will definitely try and get to chesterfieldfor the british gp! It was nice to put faces to a few of the names on here! ;)

So no Spashett... again?
I was a bit gutted I couldn't get to Wickham, supposed to be a really good meeting. :(
Get yourself to Chesterfield Mark! It was brilliant last year and this year will probably be even better.
See you all at Chesterfield... or if anyones coming up to Teesside for the Sub Zero competition?
Liam
Yes, it was a very good meeting - a big thank you, and well done, to the Wickham Club. Well done to Robin and Paul. Mark - your axle debacle looked really expensive - I winced!! ;D
Don't forget the Team Prize - Trinity again; fourth one on the trot!!
On a personal note, I was delighted and sad in equal measure to receive a trophy bearing the legend "Phil Davies Memorial Team Prize". Delighted, because our names will be the first on the perpetual trophy Wickham have instigated for the Team Prize at their National to remember 1/12th's great ambassador; sad because we have to remember Phil, and not enjoy his presence any more.
I can't thank Wickham enough for the thought and care that went into this. A team prize is such a fitting tribute to the ultimate team player.
And so to Chesterfield - be there, or be square, they used to say. Just be there - there won't be any racing more enjoyable to do that weekend!!

Thats why I said it was a bad end to a great weekend Pete! It cost me £18-50 for a new one. I went home with £1-50 instaed of 20 quid! >:( Perhaps even more annoying was the fact that I was perfectly positioned to take the C final win! d'oh! >:(
...and so allowing a Trinity driver to win the C Final I believe, Mark!! We may have you to thank for our Team win!!! LOL ;D

Alright, don't rub it in! ;)
I agreed to be a member of the MK team, even though it isn't strictly my home club! Do you know where we came? ???

Was an interesting weekend for Axles/diffs - hey Russ 8) ;D :P
You had to mention it didn't you Matt ;)
I think Russ Williams spent more on spur gears over the weekend than the Mark spent on his axle. :o

Perhaps Keith could write an article on how to assemble and maintain a diff on a 1/12th car, especially for Russ!!
(Sorry Russ)

Ha Ha, yes very funny. I glad i amused you lot. I think I kept spur gear manufacturers in buisiness with the amount that I went through on Saturday ;D. I didn't know the IRS diff half was different to the standard associated one. No one told me.
And Matt, since you started this, what about your old transmitter.......ring any bells :o ;D.

Well Wickham was my first 12th race in about four years.
I had a fantastic time, was only going too race saturday but stayed on for sunday and the car just got better, with some help from you guys.
I only finished my Associated Wednesday and i turned a wheel for the first time thursday night racing at bisley, broke the T bar too. It was a really bits'er with an HPI chassis.
Had a quick run Friday at wickham, it's 20mins for me by car from southampton.
Satuday - i can't race round that - it's too small and i'm too old.
Goal of the day was too make it out of the bottom final - and i did, won the E?
Sunday just made the car faster and faster, roll limiter, front spring .020, silver centre spring, just so quick and so good. Only running a 15x2 too.
Four cell mod seems too be peachy.
I had a fantastic weekend even if the speedy failed in the second final, i think it's static.
Great weekend.
G.
P.S. Good too see you old gits too. ;)

As said before, well done to the Wickham Club
Great meeting, great food and GREAT Track.
And, as PDW said, a great fitting tribute to the late, great Phil Davies. One of the best tributes anoyone could give.
So then PDW, who's got the TWO captains trpohies then? Is it age over talent?
Results to follow shortly, will try to get a new web site sorted with info on the results, if not go to the BRCA website, and the 1/12 circuit one.
Will let you know When up and running.
Clive.
Clive, the trophies are with the Wickham club for engraving, then to be sent to us to hold for the year. No plans as yet, but I do think you are being a bit hard on Roger, Matt and Ben by making qualifications for holding them that only I can meet!! LOL ;D

2 weeks and no results from Wickham or championship positions posted anywhere that I can see.
I know it's all done voluntary by the committee but we should be seeing the results a lot sooner than we do for a national series.

Thanks to Paul for posting the results, once I sent them to him.
Sorry about the delay.
I will now stop working, drop everything and ensure I do the results before I leave the national on a Sunday so I won't be able to work ever again just so I can get the results out within one millisecond of the race meeting finishing.
This means I will be at the beckon call of all the racers.
SOOOOOO Sorry not the have posted them before the end of feb.
If anyone complaining wants to raise it at the EGM please Do.
Otherwise, please don't.
Clive.

DRIVER'S
Lets all stop getting on Clives back for results after all he does this job in his own time as Paul does, they both have commitments and family life the same all of us.
It will be good to see clive attend the Euro's and not have the preasure of running the pc and be able to sit down and race at a meeting.
Lets all give the guy a little space and time and the results will appear, yes we all would love to see the results the day after a National but that aint going to happen so a little paitents will help Clive to get the results out as soon as he can.
These are my own views and if I have offended anyone accept my appologies.

Actually Clives's much happier not racing! He was born a "pit bitch", probably comes from a long line of 'em. Some of us have to keep him busy through the summer and it's hard work. It involves selfless acts such as cutting at the far end of the track just to get his juices going ;)

Well Chris,
If I have to pit for a man of your driving ability, what do you expect!!!
At least it wasn't at the far end of Halifax!!!
Yours Kindly!
Pit Bitch!
Please Chris, I REALLY don't want to know what gets Clives 'juices going'.

Keith,
Chris has to have some fun at these 1/8th meetings, after all with his eyesight and hearing going he still thinks he's racing 12th.... outdoors!!!!
