Anyone know which of the Cat shells will fit a ProCat? I had a look on the Schumacher site, and they still have the undertray listed for it, but not the shell. I sent them an email a couple of days ago to check on availability, but haven't heard back as of yet.

Just saw an auction on ebay for a Bosscat, shell looked the same on that, so would one of those fit?

Cheers

The bosscat shell is exactly the same as a procat shell.

Great, thanks Ben! Schumacher still have those listed.

*edit* do the Bosscat and ProCat share any other parts?

Cheers

As far as i can see they are very similar. I think the bosscat was only a slightly "newer" version of the procat, so they are basically the same.

Incorrect

The Bosscat shell will fit over a pro-cat, but the pro-cat shell is narrower at the front with a taller cockpit, wheras the Boss cat was more of a round shape with a lower cockpit.

The Bosscat had new rear suspension, modified steering, rear shock tower, shocks and revised drivetrain too. It was about as big a step from a pro-cat to the Bosscat as from the Cat XLS to the Pro-Cat.

Thanks for the input guys, I have a restoration project to do, so if anyone hears of any Procat parts for sale, send me a PM :) Retro Schumachers must not die!

Off the top of my head the only Bossccat parts that i think it shares with the procat were the driveshafts and possibly belts. I think the shell would fit with minimal "persuasion"!"!

Thanks Matt, I will try and get a bosscat shell to fit, using a blowtorch and hammer if need be!

I've got a Bosscat (circa 1993) but I recently aquired a load of Procat bits (including about 5 painted lightly damaged Procat bodyshells so if anyone needs one then PM me). If anyone needs a specific Procat part I might also have a spare one (I didn't get that many bits). And you're right about the driveshafts being interchangable - I swapped out my roller front ones for fixed ones as I couldn't stand the car not slowing down like my SST.

There is the option of making a mould from one of your procat shells with a load of plaster of paris, and then finding someone who got access to a vac-forming machine (schools maybe??) and getting some sheets of Lexan and knocking up a few and flogging them.
