hi have just got a new b4 has done 2 meetings and the front suspension and all the ball cups seem really sloppy.
is it just mine or are they all like this.
seems to be the camber links that are suffering most.
any suggestions on better parts?
many thanks

lunsford titanium turnbuckles and rpm ball cups. Thats the best way to go.

they all suffer from the camber changes and loosened ball cups. it's a by product of crashing too much!

Mine is a bit sloppy too, will get new plastic cups before the outdoor season, I will try the RPM ones this time too.

Your also lucky as if its new it will have the updated steering rack, where as the first ones had racks with further slop :(

Still this is one of very few complaints with the car :)

i have the same problem, i bought one a while ago and was planning to race in the summer (cos its warmer ;D) and the steering is so poor on full lock you can move it by hand

I must admit though I don't notice any of this on track, I never see the wheels flapping around or anything. I think its more of a worry in the mind than it is on track.

The heavy duty servo saver & new steering parts cure this now.

As for the ball joints i think with the impacts these cars have to put up with then something has got to give.
I like the fact that the ball joints stretch but don't actually break. With the whole car set of ball cups being only a few pounds (not sure exactly but sure it's under £5) then these can be regularly replaced with minimal outlay. I'd rather finish a race wth sloppy suspension than not finish with a breakage.

i run rpm blue ball joints on my B4, with standard turnbuckles. I have eliminated the "stretch" of the camber links, and not introduced any breakages or otherwise. This could have something to do with the original sloppy steering rack, but the car handles well even with the play in the steering.
