Suspension arm shims

I have always built my car with 1.5mm shims under the lower inner arm pivots. I have done it as eveyone who has a cyclone recommends this, but i want to know what the effect of this is.

Changing this shim changes the roll centre of the arm if you add or remove the same amount of shims to all four if you add more to the front or back it can add kickup and anti-dive. For a better explanation i would recommend downloading the xray setup manual as this is an exelent tool for understanding what setup changes do and transfers over to all tourers.
