does everbody here use comm lathes regularly? because i was wondering whether it was worth it to get one

After every meeting usually, not that I have to change brushes, but the skim helps the motor stay fresh.

do you think it's worth getting one, because they're pretty expensive >:(
this is bearing in mind i have a 14*2 and that im not really thinking of being really competitive, just try my best in the B class.

Yes chris we do skim regularly. But I wouldn't go out and buy one. There a several people with a lathe that if you ask nicely will help you out and skim your motor.

Even with a 14x2 it will be best to get a skim after every meeting as DCM said. Depends how hard you run it though.
